Jennifer Cooper said that at around 2:20 p.m. on Aug. 20 the plane made an emergency landing on the four-lane Foothills Boulevard, about 1.5 kilometres north of North Nechako Road.“Two vehicles were also involved,” Cooper said, adding that an occupant of one of those vehicles was killed.“Investigators would like to remind the public that this is an active investigation and that they need to stay away from the area.”A Prince George Airport spokesperson, Chrissy Black, said the aircraft’s pilot had notified the airport that they needed to make an emergency landing.The airport is east of the city.“Our emergency command centre at the airport was activated and were on standby with fire trucks,” Black said.“Once we found that the aircraft made an emergency landing on Foothills Boulevard, our crews stood down and that was about it.“We are all a bit beside ourselves, you know. We just wish that the plane would have made it to YXS.”According to reporting from the Prince George Citizen, the plane was a Beechcraft B200 Super King Air operated by Sekani Air.
