Music, fashion and visual art will come together in Limuru on August 29 as iToka – The Crossing returns for its second edition.

The one-day festival will be held at Eva’s Garden in Redhill, with live performances with the lineup including Addeh Prince, Nyawira Siren, iNala, Folk Fusion, Flow Flaani, Leting and CEDO.

Media personalities Aunty Jemimah and Kibunja are set to host the event, while DJs Maina Rada Safi and J.Y. will handle the music between performances.

However, iToka is being presented as more than a live music event. Organisers have included visual art displays, fashion showcases and a creative marketplace as part of the programme, bringing several parts of the creative industry into one space.

The festival takes its name from the Gikuyu word iToka, traditionally associated with plants used as boundary markers or to distinguish pieces of land.
