Ross Stores $ROST reported second-quarter earnings of $2.66 a share on Thursday, beating its own guidance and lifting its full-year profit outlook.
The Dublin, California-based company earned $851.3 million in the quarter, a jump from $508 million recorded in the year-ago period. Revenue rose 13% to $6.26 billion, compared with $5.53 billion a year ago. Comparable store sales increased 10%, driven by customer traffic.
