Charlesbank Announces Next Phase of Firm Leadership
Firm to be led by Co-Managing Partners Brandon White and Sandor Hau; Michael Choe to serve as Managing Partner Emeritus
Charlesbank Capital Partners, a leading middle-market private investment firm, has announced a leadership transition designed to support the firm's further growth and continuity for the firm's investors, portfolio companies and employees.
Charlesbank will be led by Co-Managing Partners Brandon White and Sandor Hau. Brandon will continue to lead Private Equity along with David Katz, who has been promoted to Co-Head of Private Equity. Sandor will continue as Head of Credit. The Executive Committee – which previously included Brandon White, Sandor Hau and Chief Operating Officer Josh Klevens – will expand to include Managing Directors David Katz, Pedro Vaz and Carolyn Wintner. This committee will continue to oversee firmwide management, maintaining the collaborative leadership model that has guided Charlesbank since its founding, while broadening representation to include the next generation of leaders.
After nearly 30 years with Charlesbank and leading the firm for the last 12 years as President and then CEO, Michael Choe will be transitioning to Managing Partner Emeritus. In this capacity, he will remain a member of the firm's Private Equity and Credit Investment Committees.
