The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) held the 624th meeting of its Central Board of Directors in Chennai on Friday.The event was held under the Chairmanship of Sanjay Malhotra, Governor of the RBI.As per a statement by the RBI, the Board, in its meeting, reviewed the current economic situation and global and domestic challenges, including risks to the economic outlook.“The Board also reviewed the various areas of operations of the Reserve Bank including the functioning of its Committees and the Ombudsman Scheme,” it added.Deputy Governors Swaminathan J., Dr Poonam Gupta, Shirish Chandra Murmu, Rohit Jain, and other Directors of the Central Board, including Revathy Iyer, Prof. Sachin Chaturvedi, industrialists Anand Mahindra, and Former ISRO chairman Somanath Sreedhara Panicker, attended the meeting.Earlier in the day, RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra also called on TN CM C.
