Adobe Firefly’s audio tools became generally available on Thursday. Generate Music, Generate Speech and Generate Sound Effects now sit beside the image, video and design tools in its creative AI studio.

Each runs on a different model. Generate Music uses the Firefly Music Model and produces original tracks tuned to a video’s length and mood. Generate Speech runs on the Firefly Speech Model, with ElevenLabs offered as an option. It gives control over voice, pacing and emotion. Generate Sound Effects uses the Firefly Audio Model to match sounds to the timing of a clip.

Adobe names the obvious uses: social content, live vlogs, short films, product tutorials and podcast clips. There is no separate subscription for any of it.

The problem Adobe says it is solving is tab-switching. Creators bounce between workspaces, apps and separate services, and the flow breaks each time. Sound is where that happens most, the company argues, because it is usually the last element added and the first thing an audience notices.

The feature list is unremarkable. Plenty of tools generate music from a prompt. What Adobe is actually selling sits in a phrase it repeats throughout the announcement.
