ByJERUSALEM POST STAFFAUGUST 21, 2026 12:38Updated: AUGUST 21, 2026 12:55A Jewish settler group clashed with West Bank Palestinians after entering a village during an unapproved hike, Army Radio reported on Friday.The group had not received approval from IDF forces prior to entering the West Bank, a security source told Army Radio.The village is several hundred meters away from an illegal outpost, according to Army Radio.Initial reports allege that over a hundred Palestinians attacked the group with rocks after the group started a fire in a Palestinian home. Footage circulated online showing a fire in one of the village homes which was allegedly started by the settler group, and Army Radio later reported that a security official had confirmed that the settlers had set fire to a Palestinian home in the village.The IDF entered the village in order to extract the group, and one Palestinian was shot and heavily wounded after throwing a rock at point-blank range at a civilian security coordinator who was first to arrive on the scene, according to initial reports.There were no injuries reported to either the hiking group or the IDF soldiers.Efrat Forsher contributed to this report.This is a developing story.Follow us on Google
