There are three types of solar systems covered by the new rules: Micro-Solar Systems (MSS), Self-Generating Facility Zero-Export Solar Systems (SGF ZESS), and their configurations, each with specific requirements regarding capacity and permits.
The policy aims to encourage more consumers to adopt solar energy by removing barriers, aligning with the government's goal to increase renewable energy's share in the power generation mix.
