Ukraine's four new sanctions packages target representatives of Russian occupation administrations, individuals involved in the illegal removal of Ukrainian grain, and entities supplying the Russian military and defense industry, covering several levels of the system supporting Russia's war.
Vladyslav Vlasiuk, the President's Commissioner for Sanctions Policy, said this in a comment to Ukrinform.
"The four new sanctions packages target several levels of the Russian system supporting the war against Ukraine. They include representatives of occupation administrations, people involved in the economic exploitation of temporarily occupied territories and the material supply of the Russian military," he said.
According to Vlasiuk, the sanctions demonstrate a consistent effort to dismantle the occupation hierarchy at every level.
"The cases of Yury Turulyov and Sanal Adyayev in the Kherson region show that pressure is being brought both on those organizing the administrative and legal integration of the seized territories and on individuals involved in their economic exploitation, including the illegal removal of Ukrainian grain. At the same time, sanctions against Russian lawmaker Viktor Kushnir disrupt the covert supply of drones and equipment to the Russian military through private and political networks," Vlasiuk said.
