Russian forces launched a massive overnight drone attack on Ukraine, sending 135 Shahed-type and other unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) toward the country and striking civilian areas in Sumy and Kharkiv regions.In Sumy city, the attack damaged residential buildings and civilian infrastructure and injured six people, including a 16-year-old girl. One of the strikes caused a fire in a two-story residential building. Fires also broke out at several other locations.The threat of additional Russian strikes complicated the work of rescuers, according to Kryvosheyenko.Six people were injured in the attack: a 16-year-old girl, four women aged 36, 39, 50 and 66, and a 35-year-old man. All are receiving medical treatment.Nine residential buildings were damaged at four locations across the city. Damage included broken windows and balcony frames. A shop, gas-station infrastructure, sections of roadway and several vehicles were also damaged.
