ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said on Friday that in light of the directives issued by the Supreme Court earlier this week, PTI founder Imran Khan underwent a medical check-up at a hospital before being shifted back to Adiala jail.
The statement came hours after media reports said that Imran underwent a medical examination at Islamabad’s Shifa International Hospital during the early hours of Friday.
In a post on X, the information minister said, “In the light of the Supreme Court’s order, the prisoner was taken to the hospital under appropriate security arrangements during the night between August 20 and 21.”
He did not name Imran nor Shifa International Hospital in his post.
