Despite offering love and support to Monnapule Saleng, Mamelodi Sundowns boss Miguel Cardoso admits the winger continuously let the team down by failing to report for duty.
Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso says the club did its best to make troubled attacker Monnapule Saleng part of the family, despite the player repeatedly letting the team down by going AWOL.
Cardoso recently revealed that Saleng had been isolated from the squad for breaching team and club protocols due to ill-discipline.
The news shocked the football fraternity, as Saleng’s move to Sundowns was expected to offer him a career lifeline following similar disciplinary issues at Orlando Pirates and Orbit College.
Saleng’s agent, Karabo Mathang-Tshabuse of P Management, corroborated Cardoso’s comments on Metro FM’s Sport Night Live With Andile Ncube. She stated that while the agency will do everything possible to support her client, he must be open to receiving psychological help.
