Police are yet to make any arrest following the daring daylight robbery at the home of retired Senior Assistant Inspector General Renson Lolmodooni at Kitengela Police Sacco Estate on August 16, 2026.
The estate, with its slogan "Serene and Secure," was infiltrated by thugs who made off with boxes of money. Police bosses in the area refused to comment, referring inquiries to police headquarters.
According to police reports and witness accounts, the suspected gang gained access to the upscale residential estate, which houses both serving and retired police officers, by disguising themselves as worshippers heading to a prayer meeting.
Two men and two women arrived at the estate's main gate around midday and told security personnel they were members of a local church, a cover that did not raise any red flags at the time .
