…Urges Governor Adeleke to promote unity, stability in Osun
President Bola Tinubu on Thursday, described the planned reintroduction of the fuel subsidy regime, discarded by his administration in May, 2023, by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, as ” demonstration of a serious ignorance on governance and economy”.
The President while reacting to the plans as contained in the former Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar’s economic blue print, ahead of the 2027 presidential election, when he received Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, on a ” thank you” visit, recalled that the subsidy removal had placed much money in the hand of state Governors
“Let’s look at the trajectory of history. I saw one of my opponents now say he will go back to subsidy. I read it.
“Before I came here, 27 states were unable to pay salaries, not even to talk of pensioners, salary of workers. In your state, I know a man that I raised who is nicknamed half salary.
