Some browser games feel almost offline. They start quickly, use simple controls, and may continue running even when the network becomes unstable for a moment.
That experience can be misleading.
A game can look lightweight and self-contained while still depending on the internet for its first load, saved scores, live challenges, leaderboards, analytics, advertisements, authentication, or updated assets.
The important distinction is not whether a game looks like an offline game. The real question is: which parts of the experience can work without contacting a server?
