TUSCALOOSA, Ala.— Alabama held its second and final scrimmage of the fall on Saban Field inside Bryant-Denny Stadium on Thursday morning, and there were still two offensive players that were held out of the scrimmage. Freshman running back EJ Crowell missed his fifth scrimmage since arriving on campus as an early enrollee, and sophomore wide receiver Lotzeir Brooks did not play for the second scrimmage in a row, even though he was spotted participating in practice on Monday. There are other players, like junior running back AK Dear and freshman defensive back Jordan Edmonds, that are out for extended time and obviously did not participate in the scrimmage either. Junior college transfer defensive back Nick Sherman got hurt in Thursday's scrimmage, but that was the only in-game injury according to head coach Kalen DeBoer. This story will be updated.
