Aug. 20 (UPI) -- A Michigan woman opened up the pole barn on her rural property and was shocked to discover a large python lurking inside.
Hannah Snay said she found the snake Monday inside her pole barn in rural Grant Township, Newaygo County.
"I screamed. I stayed back. But I knew it was somebody's pet," Snay told WOOD-TV.
Snay posted a photo of the snake to Facebook in the hopes of finding its owner.
In the meantime, the snake went into the care of Newaygo County Animal Control Deputy Chloe Flora, who identified the serpent as a nonvenomous python.
