Manipal Health Enterprises reported a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹243 crore in Q1 FY27, down 4 per cent year-on-year, in its first quarter after listing on the stock exchanges. The PAT figure excludes ₹89 crore in post-tax interest on the NCDs issued for the acquisition of Sahyadri Hospitals.Revenue from operations rose 38.1 per cent year-on-year to ₹3,091 crore, driven by strong growth in patient volumes and the contributions from recently acquired assets.Inpatient volumes grew 38.8 per cent year-on-year, while outpatient volumes increased 26 per cent. Occupancy improved by 290 basis points to 65 per cent during the quarter. Average revenue per occupied bed (ARPOB) stood at ₹71,500 per day.Dilip Jose, Managing Director and CEO, Manipal Hospitals, said the company’s first quarter as a listed entity reflected sustained patient demand and growth in high-acuity specialties.“Q1 FY27 marks an important milestone for Manipal Hospitals as our first quarter as a listed company. Our performance this quarter reflects the strength of our pan-India network, sustained patient demand and continued growth in high-acuity specialties,” Jose said.The integration of Sahyadri Hospitals remained a key focus during the quarter, with the process progressing across clinical and operational functions. Sahyadri recorded 12.8 per cent year-on-year revenue growth and 18.7 per cent growth in EBITDA, supported by higher ARPOB and improved operating efficiency.Jose said the company would focus on integrating Sahyadri and leveraging the larger network to improve operating scale. “The integration of Sahyadri Hospitals remains a key priority as we unlock the benefits of a larger network and greater operating scale,” he said.The company expects the integration to generate further benefits through greater clinical integration, shared capabilities and operating scale.Following its IPO, Manipal Hospitals also plans to deploy capital towards capacity expansion, technology and clinical capabilities, while maintaining disciplined capital allocation.The company said it would focus on expanding capacity and improving operational efficiency as it scales its pan-India network, with the Sahyadri integration expected to remain an important driver of growth in the coming quarters.Published on August 20, 2026
