One of Spain's top matadors was gored through the testicle in front of horrified spectators at a bullfight.Footage shows the huge animal tossing David Fandila onto its horns and sending him into a somersault before being coaxed away by another matador.The crowd at Baeza bullring in Jaén can be heard gasping as the wounded matador glanced down at his groin, assessing the damage.Fandila's colleagues rushed to his aid, with some using capes to protect his privacy while others inspected his wound.The matador then clutched the area as he limped out of the ring, supported by a fellow bullfighter.The incident occurred as the Granada-born matador was finishing a series of passes when the animal caught him in the groin area.Fandila was treated in the infirmary at Baeza bullring for a 'bull horn wound in the scrotum with evisceration of the right testicle'.It is not the only time a Spanish matador has been gored in the groin in recent months. This is the hair-raising moment one of Spain's top matadors was gored through the testicle during a bullfight Footage shows the huge animal tossing David Fandila onto its horns and sending him into a somersault before being coaxed away by another matador The crowd at Baeza bullring in Jaén can be heard gasping as the wounded matador glances down at his groin, assessing the damage The matador then clutches the area as he limps out of the ring, supported by a fellow bullfighterIn May, Alberto Duran, 36, was performing in the final qualifying round of the Copa Chenel bullfighting tournament when he was also gored in the same area.Footage showed the bull rearing its head into Duran's groin and catching him with its horns as it thrust the bullfighter into the air.Audience members recoiled in horror as the matador managed to escape from the animal.Duran was rushed to hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery for a serious injury to his testicles.While the initial surgery was completed without complications, doctors later detected a blood clot in one of Duran's legs, meaning he had to undergo a second urgent procedure.The matador is currently being treated in intensive care, with his condition described as stable and improving.That incident came just a month after star bullfighter Andres Roca Rey was brutally gored in the thigh.Roca Rey was left in a 'very serious' condition after being gored at the Real Maestranza bullring in Seville.Footage of the incident showed the bull's horn piercing the 29-year-old's right thigh.The animal tossed Roca Rey around on its horns several times before stepping on the injured matador.Several bullfighting assistants, known in Spanish as 'cuadrillas', stepped in to draw the raging animal away.He was eventually able to roll clear, giving the assistants enough time to pick him up and carry him to safety.The wound inflicted by the bull was 35cm long and had two trajectories, one travelling up the leg and the other down.The goring also caused serious damage to key muscles in Roca Rey's right thigh, though no major blood vessels were hit.
