Construction for Britain's new £500 million water wonderland has hit an 'exciting' milestone.Therme Manchester is set to be complete by late 2028 and is expected to attract an impressive 1.7 million visitors in its first year. It will be the first urban wellbeing resort in the UK and has been designed 'to deliver an immersive experience combining water, nature, and relaxation'.The attraction will offer a range of experiences – from thrilling waterslides and pools perfect for family fun, to facilities designed for unwinding like saunas, steam rooms and botanical gardens. 'Therme Manchester will be a destination for all ages, offering a mix of relaxation and fun in a tropical environment, open year-round,' the website states.A recent update on the company's Instagram page shows how construction is taking shape. Construction for Therme Manchester is expected to be completed by late 2028'A major milestone has been reached as the first of 12 tower cranes has been erected on site, marking the start of an exciting new phase of construction for Therme Manchester,' it said.'Over the coming months, these cranes will play a key role in bringing our vision to life. Stay tuned as we continue to build something extraordinary!'Footage shows cranes lifting objects and other machinery moving around the site as work continues.Covering an area the size of 28 football pitches, according to the BBC, Therme Manchester is set to offer more than 25 water slides, a wave pool and an outdoor beach, while temperatures will be kept at a tropical 33C (91F).Pricing information has not yet been released, but the company promises it will 'offer a range of ticket options for many budgets'. Visitors will be able to pick from a range of dining options, including family-friendly and adults-only choices. Restaurants, cafes and pool bars have been promised. Work on the site has reached an 'exciting' milestone, according to the company Wellbeing is a huge focus for the attraction, and it plans to centre its offerings around three main points – play, relax and restore.The attraction promises 'next-generation waterslides and a wave pool, an outdoor beach, warm water pools, steam rooms and red-light therapy lounging'. Meanwhile, a peaceful adults-only area will be 'dedicated to rest and rejuvenation'.Guests will be able to make the most of one-to-one consultations as well as spa therapies and 'industry-leading health, nutrition and wellbeing therapies'.
