Tesch/Getty ImagesAug. 20, 2026 Updated 9:54 am EDTManchester City are working on a deal to sign Palmeiras winger Allan Elias.The 22-year-old is one multiple targets that City have identified for this window as Tottenham Hotspur advance in talks for Savinho, but the Brazilian side maintain he is not for sale this summer.Palmeiras sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, have also indicated that the winger’s release clause is set at €100million.Allan broke into his boyhood club’s senior side in 2025 and has made 48 Serie A appearances since, registering six goals and five assists. This year, he has scored six in all competitions as Palmeiras lead the Brazilian top flight. He is yet to make an international appearance.

City are having a summer of change — with Rodri leaving for Barcelona, Bernardo Silva joining Real Madrid and Tijjani Reijnders also departing the Etihad. Meanwhile Newcastle United are in talks to sign midfielder Nico Gonzalez and The Athletic reported Tottenham are pursuing a deal for Omar Marmoush alongside Savinho.City have already recruited Elliott Anderson from Nottingham Forest and 17-year-old Jeremy Monga from Leicester City. The addition of Allan would be City’s latest from the young South American market, with the signing of Vitor Reis in January 2025 following the recruitment of Argentina youth international Claudio Echeverri from River Plate for a fee in the region of £12.5million plus add ons the year before.The Athletic reported on Thursday that the Manchester club had also made enquiries into a potential move for Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton, but were told he is not for sale this window.
