Apple $AAPL's camera-equipped AirPods remain scheduled for a 2027 release, despite a video leak from the company suggesting the product might arrive sooner, according to Bloomberg.
A Mac software update pushed to developers earlier this week inadvertently contained footage of the camera-equipped AirPods being used. The footage, first published by MacRumors, showed a man holding a book and interacting with Siri using visual information captured by the earbuds. Given Apple's September iPhone event on the horizon, observers took the video's presence in software nearing public release as a signal that the earbuds could be announced shortly.
