VIDEO: CS Eric Mugaa lectures Gladys Wanga, contractor over poor Oyugis Water works

Water Cabinet Secretary Eric Mugaa has criticised the state of the Oyugis Water Supply Project in Homa Bay County, describing the facility as “dead” during a joint inspection with Governor Gladys Wanga.

Mugaa questioned the quality of work at the facility and demanded answers from the contractor and technical team over the condition and operation of the water treatment system.

Governor Wanga watched as the CS questioned her team about the state of the facility and sought explanations for the apparent failures in its operation.

“How many filters are there? These filters have a problem, and it has been barely two years. Governor, get an experienced operator. I’m telling you, you will kill this. This is dead, you see. This thing has never been backwashed,” Mugaa said.
