Three mediators slam Israel over continued Gaza attacks
Mediators Türkiye, Qatar and Egypt have strongly condemned Israel for its continued offensive on the Gaza Strip, expressing their concerns over the ongoing violations.
“Türkiye, Egypt and Qatar, in their capacity as mediating countries, strongly condemn the recent Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, which have resulted in the loss of civilian lives, including women and children and express their deep concern over the ongoing violations,” read a joint statement on Aug. 20.
The statement followed Israel’s continued attacks on the enclave that claimed the lives of at least 10 civilians, according to reports.
The mediating countries underlined that the intensification of Israeli attacks undermines regional and international efforts at a critical juncture, as intensive efforts are underway to implement the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict.
