Kimberley-born engineer and AvenirHoldings CEO Tshidi Mndzebele has received two of the construction industry's highest honours at the 2026 CIDB Empowerment and Recognition of Women in Construction Awards.
KIMBERLEY-BORN engineer and AvenirHoldings CEO Tshidi Mndzebele has added two major accolades to her growing list of achievements after claiming top honours at the 2026 Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Empowerment and Recognition of Women in Construction (ERWIC) Awards.
Mndzebele received both the Chairman's Award, the highest honour of the evening, and the Exceptional Woman in Construction of the Year Award.
The recognition comes during Women's Month, a period in which she has been advocating for greater recognition of women in engineering and their contribution to South Africa's economic growth.
The Chairman's Award recognises leaders whose influence extends beyond the projects they have delivered.
