The stage is set for the public presentation of Colours of My Mind, a 275-page book by Austin Emaduku, at the Egini Community Townhall in Egini, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.

The book launch is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Tuesday, 25 August, under the chairmanship of Professor G.G Darah, an eminent academic, one of the pioneers of the scholarship on Oral Literature in Nigeria, and a renowned political and community leader in Delta State.

Published by Premium Times Books, Colours of My Mind is a trenchant and compelling collection of essays, reflections, and creative writings that chronicle Nigeria’s socio-political journey in the second decade of the 21st century.

Drawn largely from the author’s widely read social media interventions and public commentaries, the book captures the pulse of a nation grappling with leadership failures, democratic contradictions, and cultural attrition, while detailing the enduring resilience of its people. The book is to be reviewed at the presentation by Stephen Nse Kekeghe of the Department of English and Literary Studies of Delta State University, Abraka.

Written in clear, engaging, and accessible prose, Colours of My Mind reverberates Austin Emaduku’s voice as a public intellectual, social critic, and keen observer of national life. With wit, courage, and moral clarity, he poses uncomfortable questions, confronts hypocrisy, and calls attention to the human cost of poor leadership and systemic neglect.
