Paik's Coffee in Shinbashi, Tokyo (Theborn Korea) Paik’s Coffee, operated by Theborn Korea, said Thursday it has opened its first two stores in Tokyo as part of a broader overseas expansion.The first outlet opened in Shinbashi, a major business district, followed by a second in Kanda, an area surrounded by offices and universities. The stores sell more than 1,000 drinks on weekdays, according to the company.Paik’s Coffee introduced a “smart pickup system” that separates ordering and collection areas, with order information displayed at the pickup counter.Its menu includes Americanos priced at 250 yen ($1.50) and cafe lattes at 380 yen, alongside Japan-exclusive items featuring local flavors such as matcha and corn soup.The company also launched a Japan-specific app that lets customers order, use coupons and collect rewards. About 4,000 users signed up within four days of its release.Paik’s Coffee has established Paik’s Coffee LAB to develop and test products tailored to Japanese consumers and train local employees.The company plans to add stores in Tokyo and Osaka while expanding into Taiwan, China, the US, Cambodia and India.“We will continue monitoring local customers’ preferences and consumption patterns to refine our operations,” a Theborn Korea official said.
