Kerwin Max S. Tan, Chief Financial, Risk and Compliance Officer of Robinsons Land (RLC), was named CFO of the Year at the 25th Global Edition of the Asia Business Leader of the Year Awards, held at Pan Pacific Singapore on August 3.
Presented by CMO Asia, the CFO of the Year award recognizes finance leaders for their contributions to sustainable growth, governance, innovation and business value.
At RLC, Tan has overseen the company’s finance, risk management, compliance and capital market initiatives since 2016. During his tenure, RLC has undertaken several major funding and capital market transactions that have supported the company’s growth while preserving financial flexibility.
Among these was RLC’s ₱13.2-billion bond issuance in 2020, undertaken during the pandemic. In 2021, RLC completed the listing of RL Commercial REIT, Inc. (RCR), whose initial public offering raised approximately ₱23.5 billion, making it the Philippines’ largest REIT IPO at the time.
RLC followed this with a ₱15-billion bond issuance in 2022 that attracted approximately ₱120 billion in bids, another ₱15-billion bond issuance in 2023, and an overnight block placement of RCR shares in 2024 valued at approximately ₱8.5 billion.
