Aditya Birla Capital Ltd (ABCL) has entered the Gold Loan business, marking a strategic expansion of its secured lending portfolio. The diversified financial services company plans for a phase-wise rollout of 200-300 dedicated Gold Loan branches by March 2027 across high-potential markets.Over the next three years, the ABCL-Non Banking Finance Company business aims to establish a network of around 1,000 Gold Loan branches.Rakesh Singh, Executive Director and CEO - NBFC, ABCL, said, “Gold loans are witnessing strong structural growth in India, and our entry into this segment is a natural extension of our secured lending strategy.“We are building our Gold Loan business from the ground up…As we expand our presence across India, we will leverage our extensive distribution network and digital capabilities to deliver a superior customer experience.” In FY26, the NBFC AUM grew 28% YoY to ₹1,67,456 crore and disbursements increased 34% to ₹21,201 crore.Published on August 20, 2026
