Melbourne Storm has confirmed the immediate retirement of long-serving prop and Fijian national captain Tui Kamikamica on medical grounds, bringing a celebrated career to an early close.

The 32-year-old prop finishes his professional rugby league journey having amassed 142 NRL appearances for Melbourne Storm alongside 23 Test matches for the Fiji Bati.

Kamikamica first arrived in Australia from Fiji in 2013, initially playing in Parramatta’s U20s system before a short stint in rugby union.

He joined the Storm via the Sunshine Coast Falcons in 2016 and quickly developed into a cornerstone of Craig Bellamy’s forward pack following his Round 5 debut in 2017.

Throughout a decade of dedicated service in Victoria, Kamikamica established himself as a powerful, reliable presence.
