The Lagos State Table Tennis Association has announced the return of its monthly cadet tournament, with the competition set to begin on Saturday, August 23, at the Lagos Country Club in Ikeja, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The revival is aimed at discovering and nurturing young table tennis talents across the state by providing them with regular competition and opportunities to develop.
LSTTA Chairman, Tunji Lawal, said consistent competition was essential to the development of young players.
“Players need regular competition to develop and fulfil their potential,” Lawal said.
He added that the monthly tournament would help the cadets build confidence, improve their match temperament and gain valuable competitive experience from an early age.
