Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are moving back to the U.K. with their children after living in California for the past six years, according to People. The transition back to Britain, which the outlet says will last for “an extended period,” is set to begin in the coming weeks.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will maintain their home in Montecito, Calif., and the location of their new home is currently unknown, People reports.
Harry and Meghan have no imminent plans to relocate or disband their content shop, Archewell Productions, an insider close to the couple said. Same goes for As Ever, Meghan’s consumer lifestyle brand.
King Charles was told Sunday that the Sussexes would be shipping back to the U.K., The New York Times reports. The Times also said that Harry and Meghan will remain non-working royals after their move.
The royal couple has seen plenty of ups and downs during their time in the U.S., especially surrounding their Hollywood banner, Archewell Productions, which has struggled to deliver on its goal of creating scripted and nonscripted films and series for all ages. Archewell was launched in 2020 and now mostly platforms Meghan’s As Ever brand.
