Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, said state governments are now better funded under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, enabling them to implement projects and programmes with direct impact on citizens.
Aliyu stated this in Bodinga Local Government Area of the state during the flag-off of the sale of food items at subsidised rates, an initiative introduced by his administration to provide rural residents and junior civil servants with access to essential commodities at affordable prices.
The governor attributed the state government’s ongoing developmental projects and welfare programmes to increased funding from the Federal Government.
“All the developmental projects we are executing in the state are as a result of the adequate funding we are receiving from the federal government,” Aliyu said.
