The Borno government has received life-saving cholera and reproductive kits worth millions of naira, donated by Plan International Nigeria, to tackle the ravaging cholera outbreaks in Maiduguri and its environs.

Speaking during the handover event in Maiduguri on Wednesday, Victoria Chenge, Director of Operations, Plan International Nigeria, stated that the kits are intended to respond to cholera cases by providing essential medicines, intravenous fluids, and consumables required for patient care.

According to her, these commodities will help ensure that health facilities are adequately equipped with the medicines and supplies needed to deliver critical health services to communities across the state.

She explained that “this initiative is part of Plan International’s broader strategy to bolster emergency response, strengthen health systems, and ensure equitable access to health services.

She said, “We are pleased to hand over these items to the Borno State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, and they will support ongoing efforts to provide quality healthcare services to those in needs Related News States now better funded under Tinubu, Sokoto Governor Aliyu affirms Experts urge Nigeria to maximise China’s zero tariff access FG expands Lagos power grid with installation of 8 transformers across four transmission substation
