Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has called on all parties in the ongoing reconciliation in the state to respect and abide by the process, emphasising that peace remains central to development.

The governor expressed delight that the state is now experiencing what he termed a ‘state of rest’ after the prolonged political crisis that rocked the state.

Fubara made the call on Wednesday while inaugurating an Entrepreneurship Centre and Engineering Faculty Building at the Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic in Rumuola, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.

Recall that the Rainbow Coalition reconciliation committee led by Senator Magnus Abe had met with Fubara twice in two weeks as part of efforts to integrate the governor’s camp in the scheme of things in the state’s new political arrangements ahead of the 2027 elections.
