NewsUK NewsHolidaysThe award winning UK travel company is 'no longer taking bookings' and has been appointed liquidators after organising trips across Europe for over a decade01:46, 16 Aug 2026A UK travel company has plunged into liquidation after over a decade with no trips going ahead.‌Firefly Holidays, based in Abingdon, has entered voluntary liquidation with liquidators appointed on August 4.‌The firm was incorporated in 2015 and organised holidays to France, Spain and Italy.‌It was named the Sunday Times Best 100 Holidays in its first full season and also received two British Travel Award nominations following this, however due to reported financial issues the business has now closed.‌A statement on the company's website reads: "It's been our absolute honour to help our customers experience amazing holidays and award-winning adventures.
