Governor Ademola Adeleke has maintained his lead in the ongoing Osun State governorship election, as results from almost all the wards across the state continue to be collated.
A check by Vanguard on the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Result Viewing Portal (IReV) showed that results from 331 of the 332 wards in the state had been reported, while 93.47 per cent of polling-unit results had so far been captured.
According to the latest figures displayed on the election results dashboard, Adeleke, the Accord Party candidate and incumbent governor, has polled 461,876 votes, representing 49.7 per cent of the valid votes recorded so far.
His closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has secured 404,713 votes, representing 43.6 per cent.
