Rixel Studios has released the official trailer for its forthcoming feature film, Black Market, ahead of its planned Guinness World Records attempt for the largest number of people to watch a film in a single location.
The film is scheduled to premiere on September 26, 2026, at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, where the organisers aim to host 50,000 people for a single screening.
The planned screening is an attempt to surpass the current Guinness World Records record of 43,000 people for the largest audience to screen a film in a single location.
Written by Abdul Tijani-Ahmed and Fatimah Gimsay, the movie is directed by Gimsay and produced in collaboration with FilmOne Studios, Signet Ring Studios and Switch Visuals Production. Shot in Abeokuta, Ogun State, the film features an ensemble cast including Lateef Adedimeji, Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman, Itele D Icon, Scarlet Gomez, Omowunmi Dada, Teniola Aladese, Susan Pwajok and Uzor Arukwe.
