As socialite, Wosilat Okoya-Seriki, clocks 65 on August 17, 2026, family, friends and admirers are celebrating what they describe as decades of grace, warmth and quiet influence.
Born into the prominent Okoya family, Wosilat is the younger sister of industrialist and philanthropist, Rasak Okoya. Despite coming from a well-known family, those close to her say she has built a reputation independent of her family name.
Known for her elegance and understated presence, Okoya-Seriki is a familiar face at major social gatherings, although she is said to maintain a relatively private lifestyle and prefers to keep her focus on family.
She was married to the late Ademola Seriki, who served as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain and Permanent Representative to the United Nations World Tourism Organisation before his death in December 2022.
During her late husband’s diplomatic posting to Spain, Okoya-Seriki reportedly joined him in Madrid and supported him throughout his service. Since his death, she has continued to organise annual prayers in his memory.
