President Donald Trump is expected to attend a White House meeting on Wednesday with executives from the cryptocurrency and prediction market industries, two people familiar with the plans told The Block.

Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Chair Michael Selig is also expected to be there, one of those people said.

The meeting is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

ET at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, which sits beside the West Wing, a person familiar with the planning said.

That person said the session is intended as a kickoff for the CFTC's Innovation Advisory Committee, which holds its inaugural meeting on Thursday.
