It is a scenario-based exam across five domains — agentic architecture, tool/MCP design, Claude Code, prompt engineering, and context management — with a pass mark of 720 out of 1000. What is the Anthropic / Claude certification?
"Anthropic certification" and "Claude certification" are two names for the same thing: Anthropic's official credential program for people who build with Claude. The first exam in that program is the Claude Certified Architect – Foundations (CCAR-F), launched in March 2026. It validates that you can design and operate agentic systems on Claude — not that you can train models or recite trivia.
