Al Arabiya’s correspondent reported on Saturday that the Iran-backed Houthis have launched an arrest campaign targeting civilians south of the Hodeida Governorate.
At the time of the report, there was no available information on the number of those arrested nor the reason given for their arrest, according to the correspondent.

The campaign takes place amid a highly tense climate as the Houthis have as of late stepped up strikes on targets both military and civilian and attacked ships around the Bab al-Mandeb strait.
They launched a ballistic missile attack on the port city of Mokha on Friday. Yemen’s military vowed to retaliate.
