Senator Francis Fadahunsi has come under fresh criticism again after he was captured in a video making remarks about voters at his polling unit during Saturday’s Osun State governorship election.

Fadahunsi was heard telling supporters to “monitor their ballot” and reportedly adding, “Whoever does not vote appropriately…” before giving further instructions to his followers.

The remarks have drawn condemnation from the Imole Campaign Council, which accused the senator of attempting to intimidate voters and influence their choices at the polls.

In a statement issued by its spokesman, Pelumi Olajengbesi, the campaign council described the remarks as “scandalous, unacceptable and undemocratic” and called on security agencies to intervene.

The development comes days after Fadahunsi was embroiled in controversy over another viral video from a political gathering in Ilesa, where he was accused of directing supporters to “kill” members of the opposition Accord Party.
