Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the Osun State election, has said the large turnout of voters in Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area indicates that residents are not intimidated from participating in the electoral process.

Oyebamiji and his wife were at Unit 11, Ward 9, Open Space Gantry, Ikire, where the APC candidate commended the turnout of voters in the area.

“I want to commend the large turnout of voters in Ikire, it shows that people are not intimidated and generally, things are going on fine across the state,” he said.

The APC governorship candidate also called on the police and other security operatives to remain proactive over possible violence in Ikire later in the day, stressing the need to protect voters and ensure a credible election. “On possible violence in Ikire later today, I want to admonish police and other security operative to be proactive, to ensure security for our people and all the voters and I believe the election will be credible,” he said.
