The Palakkad Railway Division celebrated the 80th Independence Day with various functions at the Divisional Railway Manager’s office at Olavakode near here on Saturday.Divisional Railway Manager Madhukar Roat hoisted the national flag and took the salute. Additional Divisional Railway Manager Jerin G. Anand, officers and staff attended the function.Students presented cultural programmes highlighting India’s heritage, diversity and unity. Similar programmes were also held at major railway stations across Palakkad division.
