Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have foiled terrorists’ movement in Katsina State, recovering a motorcycle during an ambush operation.
The troops of 17 Brigade, in conjunction with the police, acted on intelligence on terrorists moving on motorcycles around Dandume in Dandume LGA.
This was disclosed in an operational update made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday.
The report said that the troops mobilised and ambushed the terrorists on their way to Funtua, forcing them to flee into the surrounding bushes.
It said troops of 1 Brigade also responded to a terrorist attack on motorists along the Anka-Gummi Road in Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara.
