What five actually means
The Inc. 5000 ranks companies on three-year revenue growth. That’s the whole formula.
Each list covers a different three-year window. Making it once means you had a strong run. Making it five times means that every time the window moved forward, we were still growing, and growing off a larger base than before. The math gets less forgiving as the denominator grows.
