A heightened security alert was declared for the second consecutive day on Friday, August 14, at the beach of the Romanian resort of Costinești after fragments of a drone were discovered.

A suspicious object, preliminarily identified as part of a drone, was found near a lifeguard station on Costinești beach on Friday morning.
Police and gendarmerie officers quickly arrived at the scene and established a security perimeter around the hazardous area.
