Tim Cook has entered his final weeks as Apple CEO, with John Ternus set to take over on September 1.

In an interview with CBS News this week, Cook reflected on his “legacy” as Apple CEO.

The interview took place in Houston this week, coinciding with the opening of Apple’s new Advanced Manufacturing Center.

CBS News’ Jo Ling Kent: “As you look back on your time as CEO, in a word, what have you stood for?”

Tim Cook: “You’re asking a legacy question, and it’s a good question. But in my view, your legacy is described by others, not yourself. And so I hope that people say I was a good and decent man. And if they say that at the end of the day, I feel like I have achieved something.”
