Stuart Bloom’s futile efforts to right the space-time continuum will continue.

HBO Max has renewed Stuart Fails to Save the Universe for a second season. The pickup for the Big Bang Theory spinoff comes four weeks into its 10-episode first season, which HBO Max says is among its biggest comedy debuts worldwide (though without providing concrete numbers).

As the title suggests, the show centers on Stuart (Kevin Sussman), who is plunged into a multiverse of misadventures after accidentally breaking a device built by Sheldon and Leonard. Big Bang Theory alumni Lauren Lapkus, Brian Posehn and John Ross Bowie also star in the series, which comes from Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady (the creators of the original series) and Zak Penn.

“We’re delighted with how this hilarious, genre-bending show from Chuck, Zak, and Bill has connected with the audience, both devotees of The Big Bang Theory and new fans alike,” said Amy Gravitt, executive vp HBO Programming and head of comedy series for HBO and HBO Max. “Along with everyone else, we can’t wait to see the worlds they conjure for these beloved characters next season.”
